Homeowners in Sanford are doing their own bit to for the environment by giving their street a heating makeover. Frustrated by large energy bills, residents of the Sanford Housing Co-op in East London have installed an array of eco friendly measures which are expected to cut their carbon emissions by up to 60%.
Their ageing heating systems have been replaced by a combination of solar thermal and biomass boilers to meet their hot water and heating needs.
