Plumber finds £51,000 diamond down the toilet

Mike Roberts, a plumber from Houston, TX, turned out to be a diamond geezer after he found a ring worth £51,000 in the toilets of the Bleak Bear Diner. Black Bear regular, Alison Berry, raised the alarm after the 7 carat sparkler fell from her finger as she "used the bathroom" (that's going for a wee to you and me).

A UK website has released details of millions of tradesmen and women dating back as far as 1677.

Over 7.8 million names have been published by Ancestry.co.uk, including weapons dealers, chimney sweeps and artisans. The first shops of Boots, Harrods, WH Smith and Marks & Spencer are also included in the collection.
