A unique auction site is getting bargain hunters hot under the collar – and it isn’t eBay. Saveoo.com pulls a ‘180’ on the traditional auction model, by asking dealers to compete to offer the lowest price to a potential buyer.
The listings tend to be for luxurious products, from cameras and TVs to quad bikes and yachts. Users aren’t under any obligation to buy, even at the lowest price, and the site is completely free to use. Saveoo makes its money from its dealers' listings.
Launched in June 2007, Saveoo now has over 10,000 suppliers, with an ever expanding range of products.
