The lucky residents of Slough are in for a treat this September with the opportunity to watch a free play teaching them about the dangers of cowboy builders and scam artists.
The “scambuster” musical is called Too Good To Be True and focuses on the perils faced by a victim of a rogue tarmac tradesman and is being hosted by Trading Standards.
Keith Eaglestone, trading standards manager for the council said: “The musical will be lots of fun, but it does hold an extremely serious message. Many people fall victim to rogue traders or companies trying to get money out of them for nothing in return. I hope many people call up for tickets to see the performance, as it could save them a lot of heartache.”
I don’t know about you, but my tickets already in the post… Next stop, the West End!
