The place of my birth quite literally came under fire yesterday as Bath’s new shopping centre went up in flames.
A huge fire engulfed the £360 million development, which is due to open in 2009 with 56 shops, 93 apartments and 8 leisure areas. Witnesses claim to have heard three large explosions and seen flames reach as high as 50ft.
