Trust plus - what does it really add?

On ProblemSolved, trust is a big issue - in fact, we're often asked how we can be 100% sure of the integrity of a review and the honest answer is always that we can't. So today's launch of Trust Plus's public beta preview, sparked interest at PSHQ.

For anyone who doesn't know, the application will enable people to post ratings and view reputability scores on users of certain websites like Ebay and Facebook. You can download the facility to your browser to add reviews or just log on to the site to run a search. So what will it add?

Well for my money, it'll have the greatest value on dating sites and transactional sites like Ebay, but is there any genuine value in treating the feedback from both as equally relevant? Do I really care if the person selling me a second hand PS3 didn't pay for Carly from Wigan's cab home?

And as for ProblemSolved, I don't care if a builder's got 4 girls on the go at once. As long as he does a good job, what he does with his tools in his spare time is his business and noone else's.
