New York, USA Electricians Protest

Unemployed electricians Tuesday morning protested a warehouse building project in a small New York, USA town. The group of electricians are upset due to the fact that the company managing the project didn’t hire local tradesmen.

Frustration arose due to the fact some workers are from communities across USA and others are from as far as outside the country. Although the project, a pharmacy distribution centre and warehouse, will apparently create hundreds of jobs upon completion, the building process is sending the communities tax money outside their community.

Some of the protesters have been in the business for up to 30 years and most have been unemployed for a number of months now.

Hi I am a 23 year old Charged hand Electrician in Scotland with a large contracting firm working mostly on large commercial and industrial work and was looking for advice on moving to Florida and working as an Electrician if this is possible to do so straight away.
I would be moving with my Girlfriend and hoping to find a home but first need to find out about employment.
Any reply would be much appreciated.
Thanks
