Word on the street is that house prices in Greater London have actually fallen for the first time in a year since August 2006. The London House Price Index for August compiled by RightMove has reported that the average asking price in Greater London has fallen by 0.1% from £394,730 to £394,268. Although these prices are still 23.4% higher than what they were this time last year, it may be a small drop but a definite step in the right direction.
