Millions of customers on 'unfair' energy deals

Consumer website energyhelpline.com has revealed that millions of customers are on unfair fixed-rate energy tariffs and could be saving as much as £500 a year.

A number of gas providers have recently announced that they are cutting prices (by around 8%), but these cuts won't be passed onto any customers that have signed up to fixed term deals. The gas providers have claimed however that fixed term deals do offer customers "peace of mind".

Part time plumber Tom Bush has been called into the Leeds Rhino squad before today's Engage Super League game against Harlequins.

20 year old bush is an apprentice plumber and looks set to make his Super League debut as a replacement for winger Scott Donald. After hearing of the news, Bush said:

A train station in Carlisle has been given an exciting new DIY makeover in preparation for the filming of a new television advert.  The station's bridge has received a stripy-coloured makeover, while one of the platforms has been transformed with turquoise paint, purple wallpaper and lampshades hanging from the ceiling.

A terminally ill electrician from Sydney wired his house up with 50 booby trapped devices. The devices had to be dismantled by a bomb disposal squad before the patient could be taken to hospital.

A builder from Northumberland has received 90 letters from the Inland Revenue saying he owed £100 - and 90 more saying he didn't.

Trevor Bell, of Bedlington, Northumberland said: "They would not fit in the postman's bag." The Revenue is said to be investigating the mix up.
